Why Should I Practice Anal Stretching?

For fun for starters! Your anus is full of a ton of sensitive nerve endings that make anal play feel oh so good. And the fun isn’t reserved for folks who have a prostate, We are talking to you ladies!

Did you know? Around 1/4 of men are able to achieve an orgasm with anal sex alone?

Anal training can make many different sorts of penetration a thing of pleasure, and continued training can lead to pleasures such as gapping and Fisting.

Sometimes anal sex can be painful when first starting out.

It's understandable, I used to have a pretty hard time with this myself when I first started having sex with men. For a long time, I just thought that it was part of the anal experience and I would just have to learn to deal with it. I kept hearing "it's an acquired taste" like coffee.

In reality, starting out, anal sex does tend to hurt a bit. But don't fret, Reverb from L’acier is here to help you overcome the initial discomfort. I'm talking, of course, about anal stretching!

How Safe is Anal Training?

Like any other sexual activity, it’s generally safe if you take the proper precautions.

The anus isn’t self-lubricating like a vagina, so lubricant is a must! In addition, the tissue is thinner and more sensitive than the rest of your skin meaning it's easier for tearing and infection to occur, including sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Taking it slow, using lots of lube, and practicing safer sex can help. If you’re pregnant, have hemorrhoids, or have any other condition that affects your anus or rectum, you may want to check with your doctor before giving anal training a go.   Any blood is a bad sign and you should stop and allow the body to heal.  Fingernails are common culprits and should be trimmed and cleaned is used in play.

Will I stay Stretched?

Not at all, remember your sphincter wants to contract to its original position. After all, its main job is to hold poop back, the tissue is super elastic and bounces back in no time!

How Deep Can I Penetrate?

With time and training... Deep

Did you know that the average rectum is roughly 5 inches long, However, your body will know what you can handle. Take fisting, for example. It’s totally possible for your partner to work up to fisting you until they’re elbow-deep if that’s something you’re into exploring. Going as deep as the shoulder is also possible but it takes lots of time and effort to practice.    Keep it simple and comfortable, while you learn what's enjoyable for you.

Silicone, stainless steel, and borosilicate glass — or Pyrex — are great because they’re nonporous and easy to care for.

    Thrusting Dildos and Vibrating Dildos?

In addition to size and materials, you should also consider if you want your dildo to have any sort of action. We recommend the thrusting motion.

It comes down to your individual comfort level but aim to train once or maybe twice a day if you are feeling ambitious, at least 5 days a week, for 5 to 10 minutes at a time.

Stick with it for 1 to 2 weeks before moving to the next size up. If you feel no resistance or discomfort when inserting, then congrats — you’re ready to size up!
